This class is suited to Grade Preps to Grade 3 students, to learn the basics of Muaythai, whilst improving fitness, strength & confidence every Monday & Wednesday straight after school.
During the term, students will learn the basic Punches, Kicks, Knees, Elbows, Guard and basic Clinch techniques. No sparring & only light contact for the Peewees so they develop their skills & improve their confidence in a safe, controlled manner. As they improve, and want to be challenged, they can move into the Junior Muaythai classes.
During each class, students will be challenged physically and mentally, helping improve their fitness, strength, self-discipline, respect for others and coordination. We focus on what kids CAN do and help them improve areas where they struggle. It is important to be challenged with achievable goals. Students also grade through different levels, starting at white tshirt, and moving through gradings as they reach the appropriate skill levels.
This first term of Peewee Muaythai is strictly capped at 12 students and runs every Monday & Wednesday straight after school. The class runs for 30 minutes, so a strict start time of 3:45pm is important to ensuring class runs smoothly.
